Good morning one and all!
It is a cool, sunny day here in Eastern Canada.

I am still undecided as to what to do about DD's friend. I guess I will see how I feel when I talk to her later. I am a little annoyed that it was not discussed with us that she wasn't moving Nov 1. It wasn't even mentioned until my daughter talked to her last night. My daughter and her both had to work yesterday, so we figured she would come get her things around supper time. She doesn't have furniture or anything here, just some clothes, etc. However, when DD asked if she was moving, she said no, the apt isn't ready until Nov 15!! Ummm....well, it would have been nice if we had been told that! I'm cranky today, as I'm having issues as to what to do in this situation. 1. We offered her a place to stay until she found a new one, but we were told by her and her grandmother it would be the end of October at the VERY latest. 2. I hate to leave her with no place to go, however, we are not her parents or legal guardians, and she does have alot of other friends....I'm not sure I'm willing to do another 2 weeks, I feel we have been more than generous in this situation. 3. I'm scared that the two weeks will come and go and she will STILL be here!!

Enough on that....I'm just thinking out loud.

Today my youngest is going to see High School Musical 3 with a couple of friends. I will drop them off, make sure they get their tickets and spend an hour and a bit Christmas shopping! I've got a list of things I want to get close to the Theatre, so it should work well.

Anyway, must get my day started.

It is a very hard situation. You and your family have been more than generous and I hope that the girl totally understands that and appreciates all that you have done. It's not easy having someone else in your house for an extended time. I like my space and like it to be just MY family here.

Maybe you should sit down and talk to her. Explain to her that you would have liked for her to come to you and tell you guys that the apartment wasn't done. See what you can do to help. I think she just needs to know that someone cares.

I,too, like my privacy and fully understand your feelings. Sounds like you are between a rock and a hard place. I'm sure you will make the right decision for yourself. No matter what you decide, the girl should appreciate what you have done for her.

Good luck in your decision!

You are between a rock and a hard place. I'll say a prayer that you will know what to do.

You are way ahead of me as far as Christmas shopping goes. I haven't even begun thinking about it yet.
