WHATCHA WORKING ON WEDNESDAY...

AND MORE.....
I'm adding my post to Leslie's today....as I am working on some things. First of all, it was SO hot and sunny all last week.....now this week it has rained since Sunday and I need to get alot of laundry done that can't go in the dryer!! Ugh! Oh well, it will all get done eventually.

I've also decided to start a new cross-stitch project, so I pulled this chart from my stash. I like it, it's a quick stitch and hopefully will get it done soon. I just needed something new to perk me up.

I'm in a really crappy mood this week. I know it's partly because of my cousin and her husband's passing, which by the way, I will be headed to the funeral home later today...but it's also partly my relationship with hubby. I will not go into any detail....he is a very good person, but we are SO different. You would think that after 22 years of being together I could accept that, but there are times when I can't...how do you find the faith to be positive in a relationship? No, he hasn't done anything wrong...it's just that our personalities clash at times. I don't understand his reasoning in things...and he in mine I guess. How do you look the other way and not say something when you disagree with him??

Anyway, on a brighter note, I am also going to make a stop at the thrift store later today. About a week and a half ago, I went and there was this large plastic jar of beads...my youngest wanted it....it was $1.99, so I got it for her...well, let me tell you, that jar has provided SO much enjoyment for both her and my oldest DD...they have made many necklaces and bracelets and youngest is going away next week to a cottage with her friend and family, so I decided to go see if there are more beads to be had! Actually, my youngest is best friends with my oldest DD's boyfriend's sister...they are the same age and get along wonderfully, so his family is taking my youngest to a cottage for a fun week! Confusing enough??

I also thought I would show you a couple of my favourite things in my home. This is not a good photo of my tea set, I had a hard time getting it, because it sits on top of my cupboards, but it is a Holly Hobby set my mom got for me when I was in grade 12. I had seen this set (teapot...4 cups and saucers and creamer and sugar bowl) in the drug store in my home town...it was $28.00....I remember that..LOL and I wanted it so badly, so anyway, there it was under the tree that Christmas. I have never seen another one just like it, and after all this time, I still absolutely adore it.

This is a bench that DH got for me a few years ago....I really like it...and the dolls, well I happened upon the Holly Hobby one 3 years ago...it was at a flea market I went to with a friend....and it was in a box of old stuffed animals...I asked the man how much it was...he said 25 cents! I proudly display her on the bench...the other two I bought from a lady at a different flea market...both were hers and new with tags on them....one is an Anne of Green Gables doll...I got them for $1.00 each!!! I think they all look nice sitting here.

Anyway, I have rambled on enough....you all have a great day!!

Hugs

Laundry...it's never ending, isn't it? LOL I haven't used my clothesline in a good month thanks to the bug invasion and then I think I'll use it and it will look like rain...until I put the stuff in the dryer, of course!

The beads were definitely worth the $1.99! I love when my kiddos find something that's perfect for them at the TS. I remember some of my fav toys as a kid were from the TS!

The Anne of Green Gables tea set is totally YOU. That is too cool!

I'm sorry about you and your hubby. Relationships can be sooo tough. Jer and I seem to be a pretty good match. We argued about little crap over the years and we have our disaggreements but for the most part it's not very often or that big. I say the big reason for that is we both have Mother's that like the last say, their way or the highway and we watched and were through too many arguments! LOL We don't always agree but we find a way to tell the other without setting them off...well, I also learned there are certain times when it's best to just leave Jer alone because he'll snap no matter what you ask him! LOL

Sorry to hear about the loss of your family members. I may have missed that post...now that I have you on my blog roll I'll be able to keep up again!

Hugs! Hope your week gets better.

Oh laundry is one of those things I just don't like to do, but I do anyways! Great deal on the bead for 1.99!!! You know when it comes to the men in our lives its hard because they really are so different then we are and its hard to turn your head and ignore what they do that we don't agree with. I too wonder how we are so different still after 22 yrs of mariage!! If you figure it out please let me know cause even though I love him to death there are days I could seriously slap him silly!!
I pray you and your family will find peace today, take care. Wendy

I love seeing your tea set and the dolls. Its so nice to have such treasures in your home, things that just make you happy by seeing them.

I can relate to your hubby issues, I felt the same way about mine last night. Its just so frustrating at times trying to communicate with this man who thinks I should be able to read his mind. Sometimes I really wonder why I bother...28+ years of marriage later.

Marion,

So much has happened since I last "checked in". I am so sorry for the loss of your cousin's husband. I will add the family to my prayers.

Thank you so much for praying for my family and me. My daughter is fine but stranded in southern Texas due to the hurricane. She called and she sounds pretty sad. She was due to come home today. They have no electricity and some food but they have begun rationing it. I'm trying to not worry as she is in the Lord's hands.

How is it that we are ALL married to the same guy only just a different number of years? LOL!!! There are days when I wonder which of us is the crazy one...must be me since he is so 'wonderful'. He really is, and I know that we can't agree on everything, but my way is always so "right", doncha know? WHAT is wrong with HIM!!??

Hang in there, kids, I have been with mine for over 40 years...married 36.5 of them, and even now there are days when I could shake him, but I know he isn't going to change at this point. When he gets to me, I take a ride or slam a door...sometimes I even still cry like a teenager......Chins up, All. I seriously love him to death and wouldn't trade him for anything...OK...so maybe I might go a couple of days with say maayybbeeeee...NAH!!!
