MY MORNING PROJECT

I have referred in past posts to a "Morning Project". I am an early riser...I get up before 6am, have my morning coffee and stitch in the quiet, peaceful house....my daughter gets up at 6:20, but she gets ready and then grabs her breakfast around 7am, which is when my son gets up.....so I have some morning quiet stitching time.

A while back I started a "morning project"...only stitching this particular project at this time of day...currently this is what I am working on...It is by Ink Circles..."This Heart of Mine"...stitched with Carrie's Creation silk floss in Masquerade.

I also want to "thank" (note sarcasm here)Siobhan for enabling me on her Blog......when I saw this ....I just HAD to have it...so I ordered it and it is on it's way to me......between seeing it on her Blog and my youngest saying she liked it...that's all it took....sad, isn't it? LOL Can't wait to get "Mary Margaret" by Carriage House Samplings......

Kids are back at school today, DH will be leaving in a bit, it's snowing out AGAIN, so I won't be out driving anywhere....great day to stitch and watch Olympics...

Enjoy your day everyone and don't forget to sign up for my giveaways, you can see them HERE.

Take care
Marion

What a great idea to have a morning project! I love the mornings too, but I don't get up as early as you! lol! My family is late rising, all except for me. So I get some morning time to myself as well, and I love that time of day. During school I have to get up at 6am -- too early for my tastes! Your son's wakeup time is better for me! Lovely morning project! And yes, Siobhan is a great enabler, isn't she? I always sigh with relief when what she is working on is something I don't "need" to start! lol!

I agree and since I am up at the crack of insanity 3:30 every morn I get plenty of "MP" time in, and man can you get alot of stitching in before the rest of the house wakes up. What a nice blog. I will pop in regularly. Oh and I agree with you DD regarding the piece she likes.
Be always in stitches.

Your morning project is awesome. How lovely it is.
And there is much enabling all over blogland. Mary Margaret and all her peers are gorgeous!

Love the heart project.

I get up by 6:15. My daughter goes to preschool at 7:15. She loves to go and have breakfast with the other kids.

Have you seen Panopoly of Posies at Tempting Tangles blog? I got it for Valentine's day from my hubby.

Have a blessed day.

What a lovely morning project you have picked. My favorite time is after 10 p.m. when my DH is in bed and I am all alone. sometimes I stitch till 12. The needle just seems to fly then.
Is't it amazing how reading blogs enables each of us. Enjoy your new purchase.

Great idea! But if I had a morning project, it's be a UFO! ha! I am NOT a morning person at all! It's so bad, that I get up at 6:30, get DS#1 up and moving and out the door by 7:15. GO BACK TO BED and get DS #2 up at 8:00! Terrible, I know!

I love your "morning project." That thread is a beautiful color! I am not a morning person, but a night owl project would be perfect for me. LOL!

You are going to love Mary Margaret. She is so fun to stitch! Siobhan is a great enabler. She stitches so many beautiful things. I am tempted by her stitching on a regular basis. :)

I'm a morning gal too, Marion. I get up at 4:45 for work so I'm getting ready but on the weekends, I still get up way before anyone else in my house and I love that quiet stitching time. I really like this idea and my use it myself (besides, another great reason to have to start something new!). I love your WIP, it's really pretty and the CHS girl is darling. Siobhan is dangerous to us all - for sure but it's all good!!!

I too like the early mornings for stitching - love it when the house is quiet. That's a great idea to just have that project for that time.

Marion - you sound just like me - my kids and DH leave in shifts, so I get up early and stitch around all the shifts going out the door. But once they're gone, so am I, not to see the stitching chair until night. Love your choice of morning stitching and love the Mary Margaret piece too. That Siobhan certainly is an enabler with her beautiful pieces.
