NUMBER 14 finished!

So, I finished blanket number 14! This is a "new to me" pattern, and will go my daughter's friend that had a baby girl a couple of months ago. At my daughter's request, I made a full size blanket, rather than the baby size...as we think the mom will enjoy cuddling with her daughter in this!
I have already started number 15! It is a baby size blanket for our mechanic's sister's grandson. This will be the first one that I have actually charged anyone for. I am only asking for reimbursement for the yarn and fabric, and she was extremely happy with that. I hate quoting a price, but I do need to start getting reimbursed for at least the cost of everything.
On the cross-stitch side, I have purchased a floor model Ott-Lite...and I am really liking it! I can see again! LOL I have been stitching a bit, but no real progress to show.

Anyway fello bloggers, you have yourself a great day!!

Take care

It's beautiful, Marion :) Great work, as always and I'm sure it will be appreciated!

I feel the same way about pricing things. People tell me they will pay me, which is great but I don't know what to charge. I don't want to be a jerk or anything but it does cost money to buy the supplies and it does take time to work on the stuff...it's hard!

Good luck with the baby blanket :)

Marion - that is gorgeous. You have done a beautiful job. Love the color of the fabric and the pattern you chose.
I charge $100 U.S. for a full size afghan.
Look forward to seeing what you have chosen for the next afghan and your newest stitchy piece.

I love the new pattern in that picture.

I did the same thing with one of my friends. She insisted on buying one of my blankets and so, I told her she could have it for the price of the material.

Those Ottlites are wonderful - I now have two of them and enjoy both of them.

That's beautiful. I can't believe how many of these you've finished. And aren't those Ott lights the greatest. I don't think I could stitch without one. I had a regular one and then bought a mighty brite with a magnifier. They're both wonderful!!
